The procurement challenge
An Italian SDR customer needed a sourcing option for ADI AD9361BBCZ because its existing offers were costly and supply timing was unpredictable. Any candidate required customer engineering evaluation before purchasing approval.
Candidate and sample sourcing
RuiReach identified SINOX TRX9361BA and TRX9361EBA and coordinated samples of both candidates. The customer selected TRX9361BA after the validation stages described above. Specifications listed on this page apply only to TRX9361BA.
From evaluation to repeat purchasing
The process from samples to a confirmed production order took approximately 20 weeks. Project-specific TRX9361BA unit pricing was approximately one-third lower than the AD9361 pricing available to the customer. The customer subsequently completed three repeat orders.
What this means for another project
The case demonstrates candidate documentation, sample sourcing and purchasing coordination around customer-led validation. It does not establish universal pin-to-pin, software, RF or system compatibility with AD9361BBCZ. Another design requires its own engineering evaluation and approval.
